While there are many reasons to find the Wiggles annoying, they happen to be some of my favorites. I like them as role models for my boys- men who are comfortable dressing up as flowers and singing and dancing– the music isn’t too bad, and they don’t have the inane “conflict” of a show like Doodlebops (bleh).
Anyway, my most recent reason to like the Wiggles, is they have a song on Rockin Santa that captures what I want about Christmas. I googled, and couldn’t find it anywhere other than their CD/DVD, with King Mondo singing the lead. Here’s a sampling of the lyrics:
This little baby is born again,
been reborn in the hearts of men,
Every Christmas, this child is born again.
A baby and a mother,
one flows from the other,
to make a life, to hold it dear
to have a reason to be here,
to know the light will never end
From the day you were born.
This little baby is born again
been reborn in the hearts of me
every Christmas, this child is born.
To love the poor and hungry,
the broken and the lonely,
We’ll put a star on every tree
to light the way for you and me,
to let you know, to tell you when,
every year you’ll be born again.
This little baby is born again,
been reborn in the hearts of men,
every Christmas, this child is born again.
la la la la. ..
End of the darkness, peace in the land. .

Thank you for scribing the lyrics!
Thanks a ton for the lyrics.
I’m glad that someone else agrees with my wife and I about this. It really is the only new Christmas song I remember in my lifetime that deserves to become a classic.
My wife and I both have been just floored at this song, which appears only available on Wiggles albums. It is also available on iTunes, for the record.
Thanks again–

Thanks for looking! It’s still my favorite Christmas song. Yesterday we dug out the DVD and Archie and I “danced” to This Little Baby. I copied the dancers on the DVD, while Archie did an interesting robot dance.
I found “Santa Rocks” in September andbrought it home for our 3-1/2, and 1-1/2. the loved it. I heard “This Little Baby” for thefirst time andfell in love with it. Thanks to thewriters and singers/dancers for this presentation!
