While this article on e-archeology is what it is, I do attribute my packrattedness on the computer to this notion that, one day, the rudimentary ramblings of a 20-something web junkie will contain some worthwhile information.
I’m in the process of pruning the physical objects in my house for a garage sale, and I’m finding it easier than expected to part with a bunch of this stuff. I’ve got my ’96 email archives on a Syquest disk somewhere (lot of good that does me, but it does exist). I wonder if its value will gain for me over the years, or if it will just be gone when I decide to throw away my last 400K floppy.
