Blogging for honesty and accuracy

One of the difficulties of blogging these days is that Carter reads everything over my shoulder. He required some edits on the last post. Apparently, he never said the word “mission,” but did say he had a destiny. When I was reluctant to change it, preferring to focus on my coffee and pancakes, we had anger and tears.

Carter: (clearly working on taking a deep breath and speaking calmly) Mom, it makes me really mad to see when you write things on your blog that aren’t what I said. It makes me think you aren’t listening to me.

Me: You mean like the story of my life? You guys never listen to me?

Carter: Yeah, but we don’t write about it and get it wrong.
