Catching up with Carter

I’ve missed a few, so here’s three for one

In the car, Carter asks, “Mom, is it okay if you and dad aren’t my favorites?”

Me: “Sure, Carter. We can’t tell you who your favorites are.”

Carter: “Good, ’cause Aunt Meg is my favorite.”

Then last night we were getting ready to go see our cousin in a band concert and I asked Carter what he wanted to wear-

Carter: “I think jeans and a snazzy shirt.”

Kevin: “Okay, why don’t you go back and pick them out.”

Carter: “Well, I’ll need your help, because I don’t know what snazzy is.”

My personal favorite happened after a rather long day of brother tackling antics- Carter and Archie were in the back yard and Carter found a dandilion, and blew off the seeds to make a wish.

“I wish I could have 10 Archies.”
