Morningtime with Archie

Archie wakes up and can’t wait for “morningtime.” Anytime between 5:00 am and 7:00 am he starts in with, “is it almost morningtime yet?” Upon receiving confirmation of morningtime, he launches into all the conversations he’s had to pent up throughout the night.

Archie: Mommy? Mommy?

Me: mmmph

Archie: Is it morningtime yet?

Me: mmmph. . . . almost.

Archie: Yea! That was fast. It’s morningtime! Do you want to know what I want to be when I grow up?

Me: (opening one eye) sure.

Archie: I want to hang Carter by his feet.

Me: (opening both eyes) What?

Archie: When I’m grown up, I’ll be able to hang Carter by his feet, like Daddy does to us. It’ll be fun.

Me: Ah. What else will you do when you’re a grown up?

Archie: Watch Buffy.

Good to know he’s got a plan.
