BBC NEWS | Education | Childcare ‘stress for toddlers’

Before I have to duck and run, I’ll say that ummm some of my best friends use day care– that today’s society is not set up to support families in keeping their toddlers and children close.

But might I suggest that instead of making it a goal to have “childcare settings which are smaller and more homelike,” we work to have home a more viable choice? Rather than child care centers, we could have community centers, close knit neighborhoods, connections with our friends that allow for cooperative childcare and employment.
