Whew!

Women & Children First Bookstore

NYTimes reported that one of my favorite bookstores was ejecting unruly children who did things like standing up during story time.

While I’m not certain we’d be able to enjoy story time quite yet (30 minutes of sitting still may not meet our needs to wiggle) I’m gratified to hear that Women and Children First wasn’t on the same level as the coffee shop owner who couldn’t change bad happenings in Iraq and New Orleans (paraphrasing here) but could keep unruly toddlers out of his store.

WCF has all the children recite the rules before it starts. I suppose it isn’t any worse than reciting the pledge.

I’m just glad I can still shop there when we visit.
